Coaley Peak & Woodchester Park
Our walk will start at Coaley Peak, with far reaching views across the Severn Vale towards the Forest of Dean. From here, we’ll make our way through woodland and past a vineyard before continuing to Woodchester Park, a tranquil wooded valley with a fascinating ‘lost landscape’ and a chain of five lakes. Along the way, we’ll enjoy a mix of open views, peaceful countryside and varied paths, making this a lovely route with plenty of scenery to take in.
Distance: Approx. 7.5 miles.
Grade: Moderate. A good level of fitness is required. This walk includes hills, woodland paths and uneven ground underfoot, with a longer incline towards the end of the walk.
Elevation: Approx. 990 ft.
Terrain: Woodland paths and uneven ground.
