Join us for a peaceful day by the water!
Discover the beauty of the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal with a relaxing boat ride and walk.
We’ll meet at Saul Junction, where the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal meets the Stroudwater Canal.
At 11:00 am, we’ll depart on the Cotswolds Canal Boat for a 1.5-hour journey to Slimbridge, arriving around 12:30 pm right by The Black Shed Café.
At The Black Shed, we’ll stop for a leisurely break. You can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, have lunch, or bring your own picnic to enjoy by the canal — it’s the perfect spot to soak in the peaceful surroundings.
After our break, we’ll take a pleasant walk back to Saul Junction along the towpath. The walk is a flat, approx. 4-mile route, offering lovely views of the canal and countryside.
