Ready to get moving and enjoy the outdoors? Join me for a supportive block of 5 walks, perfect for beginners or anyone getting back into walking. If you know Malvern, you’ll know no walk is completely flat, but all walks are at a comfortable, relaxed pace, giving you time to enjoy the scenery. The hillier sections gradually increase as we go through the walks, with Walks 4 & 5 exploring ridge paths and more challenging terrain. Each walk is friendly, social, and focused on enjoying the local area.
Walk 1 – Great Malvern Town and Parks
Approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, followed by a coffee shop (am walks). This first walk is all about saying hello, getting to know each other, and exploring some of Malvern’s landmarks, including the famous water, notable buildings, and green spaces, at a comfortable, unhurried pace.
Walk 2 – Peachfield Common
Approximately 1 hour. This countryside walk offers open spaces and lovely views of the Malvern Hills from the common. There is no coffee stop, giving us the chance to enjoy the peaceful surroundings while gently building confidence on natural paths.
Walk 3 – Eastnor Deer Park
Approximately 1 hour. We’ll enjoy lovely views of British Camp and the Eastnor Obelisk, mostly along tarmacked paths. Afterwards, there is the option to visit the Woodshed Tea Hut after the walk if its open.
Walk 4 – Woodland Paths to St Ann’s Well and Back
Approximately 1¼ hours. Starting in Great Malvern, we’ll follow woodland paths uphill to St Ann’s Well, then descend via a zig-zag route back to town, finishing with the 99 steps. This walk introduces a uphill and downhill challenge while keeping the pace manageable. This walk is up and down hills.
Walk 5 – Wyche Cutting Ridge Walk
Approximately 1¼ to 1½ hours. Starting at The Wyche Cutting, we’ll walk along Perseverance Hill and around Jubilee Hill (with the option to climb for extra challenge), continue around Pinnacle Hill, and loop back along woodland paths. This walk combines hill walking with scenic views, providing a satisfying finish to the block. This walk is up and down hills.
